Sadyr Japarov invited Turkmen companies to establish their enterprises in Kyrgyzstan


President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, who arrived on a visit to Ashgabat, visited the exhibition of export goods of Turkmenistan and took part in an economic forum that brought together the business circles of the two countries.

Speaking at the forum, Japarov called on representatives of government and business from both sides to give a new impetus to trade and economic cooperation and drew the attention of Turkmen leaders to the investment opportunities of Kyrgyzstan.

Among them - the presence of the status of the Generalized System of Preferences of the European Union (GSP +), which allows for duty-free import of more than 6 thousand items of goods to the EU countries and the USA; membership in the Eurasian Economic Union, which opens up prospects in the field of export to the market of the EAEU member states on privileged terms. Sadyr Zhaparov announced his interest in establishing partnerships with Turkmenistan in the fuel and energy complex - petrochemical and gas industries, electric power.

He singled out the Turkmen textile industry as a developed and promising sector of the country's industry, inviting Turkmen companies to create production in Kyrgyzstan, share their best practices and experience with local business.
Agro-industrial complex, infrastructure development, tourism, renewable energy sources were also named among the topical areas of cooperation.

Japarov also spoke about the importance of transport and transit interaction, for example, on the basis of a joint logistics company, which will contribute to the promotion of Kyrgyz and Turkmen goods to world markets.
