Kassym-Jomart Tokayev: “The sacred basis of our nation is Independence”
The main goals of the fourth decade of Kazakhstan’s independence are a strong state and a competitive nation. This opinion was expressed by President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the article “Independence is dearest of all”.
“Today, the contemporaries of Independence are 30 years of age. They were born and raised in a sovereign country, have an open mind. They have a completely different worldview and lifestyle. For them, Independence is an axiom. This is a normal phenomenon, testifying to the entrenchment of the concept of sovereignty in the minds of young people. However, so that the understanding of the value of Independence to be forever branded on the memory of younger generations, they must know at what cost we had gained it”, the head of Kazak state writes.
The article says that the people of Kazakhstan gained freedom thanks to the heroic struggle of their ancestors. They faced many difficulties and trials, and it is important to preserve these pages of history in the memory of the people.
The President of Kazakhstan recited the country’s successes achieved in each decade of independence. The article deals with important historical and social topics, priorities for further development of the republic.
As Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted, today’s goal is to leave the next generation a strong state with a powerful economy and firm spiritual and moral foundations, educate them in the spirit of patriotism and commitment to national interests.
“In the era of globalization, the whole world has become, in fact, one “big village”. It has become the norm for our ambitious young men and women to strive towards an education in the best universities around the world. But I am sure that our young citizens will return to their Homeland, enriched with new knowledge and experience, or they will adequately represent the interests of Kazakhstan abroad, says the article of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
“Everything we do, we do for the benefit of future generations. While pursuing the state policy, we are deeply aware of our responsibility towards the future. We will always adhere to this position. Undoubtedly, the greatest successes are achieved thanks to the boundless love for the Homeland. The true patriotism is not loud slogans, but everyday service to your country and your people”, the head of Kazakh state writes.
It should be reminded that 2021 marks the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Earlier, President Tokayev noted that “the anniversary will be held under the sign of economic and political reforms, digitalization, protection of the rights of children and the disabled, and addressing environmental problems”.
