CNPC is to build new wells in the Galkynysh gas field

The Chinese CNPC Chuanging Drilling Engineering Company Limited has won a tender for the construction of new wells in the Galkynysh super-giant gas field in the Mary Region of Turkmenistan, according to the current official Turkmen press report.
As Deputy Prime Minister Shakhym Abdrahmanov, who is in charge of the fuel and energy complex, informed at the Cabinet meeting on Friday, the construction project is designed for 30 months.
In accordance with the agreements signed in 2007, the payment for the services of the Chinese company will be made through the annual supply of 17 billion cubic meters of gas to the PRC within three years.
