Jii-jitsu tram from the UAE - among the strongest one at Ashgabat 2017
The national jiu-jitsu team of the United Arab Emirates, consisting of 21 wrestlers, arrived in Ashgabat to take part in the program tournaments of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
The squad headed by Yousuf Al Beloushi, Technical Director of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, consist of 14 men and 7 women.
By the way, the flag of the UAE on the march of nations during grandiose official inaugurtion of the Games will be borne by one of the wrestlers - the world champion in jujitsu, the holder of the black belt of Taleb Al-Karbi (weight category 69 kg).
In this type of martial art, the leadership of the National Olympic Committee of the UAE associates special hopes for champion titles with Faisal Al-Ketbi (94 kg) and Yahya Al Hamadi (77 kg). The sportsmen are being coached by Brazilians Roberto Lima and Enrique Zizendi.
Faisal Al-Ketbi won gold and silver at the recent World Games-2017 in Wroclaw, Poland.
Among the latest success of Yahya Al Hamadi are two gold trophies of beach Asian Games-2016 in Vietnam and the gold of the 2017 Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
