Spring of 2018: the most likely time for the signing of the Caspian Convention
The long-awaited meeting of the presidents of the Caspian states, during which the Caspian Convention will be signed, will take place next spring. Such information was provided to the representatives of the media by the special representative of the Russian leader for humanitarian partnership with the countries of the region, Ramazan Abdulatipov. According to him, the spring of 2018 is the most likely time when the leaders of the states of the region will gather in the capital of Kazakhstan. At the moment, issues are being coordinated at the level of the foreign ministries of the Caspian littoral countries. Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told the press that the development of the Caspian Convention has been completed and the draft will be submitted for consideration by the presidents of the states of the region in the first half of next year in the Kazakh capital.
