Dialogue Central Asia + Japan: from healthcare to decarbonisation


The preparations for the upcoming 8th meeting of Foreign Ministers as part of the Dialogue Central Asia + Japan were discussed on Wednesday by representatives of the participating countries. Turkmenistan was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Vepa Hadjiyev.
He confirmed the interest of the Turkmen party in developing partnership within the Dialogue, highlighting some areas such as healthcare, joint action to restore economies and dealing with the socio-economic aftermaths of the pandemic.
It was also noted that Turkmenistan supports efforts to expand the partnership between the CA states and Japan in the fields of security, high technologies and digitalization, trade, investment, communications, etc.
Hadjiyev spoke in favour of joint projects in the field of renewable energy sources and decarbonisation of the economy, having pointed out that Turkmenistan and Japan have a successful cooperation experience in creating high-tech industries with environmental responsibility.
