Do adults want New Year’s gifts?
As a rule, children write to Santa Claus about their New Year’s wishes, and on the night from December 31 to January 1, they receive their long-awaited gifts. And whom do adults trust their wishes to, or have they completely lost faith in the New Year’s miracle? But a small survey showed that most people, as before, are looking forward to the New Year, and make cherished wishes to a chime of bells.
“Usually, I wish that the coming year brought only good things with it or that some life difficulties were solved. But this year, I asked for the opportunity to purchase a new smartphone,” shared a resident of Ashgabat Jeren Hajimuradova. A few more people from the respondents also want to make a long-awaited purchase of gadgets, household appliances and cars in 2021. There are also those who dream to go abroad.
I asked ORIENT journalists to tell me about their New Year’s wishes. Myakhri Yagmurova said that she has long dreamed of her own apartment, and every year she makes this wish. But Batyr Seiidov admitted that he does not make any wishes for the New Year, but added that it is not necessary to wait for this holiday to wish something for himself.
Roman Teplyakov is sure that the main thing is health.
“As a father of children, my greatest wish is that my children have good health. Now, as it turns out, this is the most important thing,” said he.
Selbi Charyeva said that once she made a long-standing dream – to go to a summer camp abroad, and in the same year her wish was fulfilled.
