The first testing stage of the Iranian coronavirus vaccine began today on volunteers in the presence of Iranian Health Minister Saeed Namaki and Vice President for Scientific Affairs Suren Sattari. The first Iranian COVID-19 vaccine called Kovo-Iran was developed by the research team of the Headquarters for executing the Imam’s orders. The daughter of the head of main office Tayeb Mohler was the first volunteer, who experienced the Iranian vaccine against coronavirus. She expressed hope for the success of this scientific process in the country. 65 thousand people signed up to volunteer to experience the Iranian vaccine. In the first stage, only 56 people will receive it. At the same time, the prevalence of coronavirus in Iran is decreasing. According to IRNA, adherence to medical protocols, including social distance, the use of masks and hand washing, and the efforts of medical personnel, including doctors and nurses, have reduced the daily number of coronavirus deaths in Iran. While, in recent months on some days the number of victims reached 480 per day, the figure has dropped sharply for the past few days. According to Sima Sadat Lari, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, 121 people have been added to the death toll from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, which is a significant decrease. Sima Sadat Lari declared on Monday that since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in Iran until today, a total of 1,206,373 people have been infected with the disease, and 960,751 of which have recovered.
