Turkmenistan entered the top 20 countries in the World Giving Index


Turkmenistan is among the 20 countries with the highest ranking in the World Giving Index.
In this rating, Turkmenistan took 19th place out of 126. The country's index was 43% out of 100%.

According to this index, the country turned out to be higher than other states from the Central Asian region and from the entire CIS space, sharing the position of 43% with Germany.

The statistics of the neighboring countries in the region are as follows: Uzbekistan - 41%, Tajikistan - 36%, Kyrgyzstan - 33%, Kazakhstan - 26%. The USA and Myanmar are leading in the ranking - 58%, New Zealand - 57%.
The index was calculated taking into account such indicators as monetary donations, the number of people involved in providing charitable assistance, people's attitude to charitable and volunteer activities.

The World Giving Index is the largest survey of philanthropy on the planet. The new 2019 report analyzes data from 2009 to 2018, identifying trends in people's philanthropy during times of economic crisis, economic recovery and geopolitical unrest.
