The number of entrepreneurs in Turkmenistan is growing
In the first half of 2021, the number of individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activity and registered with the tax authorities of Turkmenistan increased by 8.5%. This is evidenced by the data of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the country.
At the end of 2020, there were 57 thousand 422 such individuals, and as of June 1, 2021, this figure reached 62 thousand 332.
The growth in the number of entrepreneurs registered as individuals indicates an increase in the population’s wellbeing and the emergence of new business opportunities in the country. Tо achieve this, the state is working to improve the tax system, simplify the procedures for registering entrepreneurs and licensing their activities.
Improving the business environment and drawing people’s attention to the opportunities in the private sector are part of provisions contained in the key government programs that contributes to the diversification and innovative development of the national economy.
At present, Turkmenistan has created all the conditions necessary for doing business without establishing a legal entity. This type of activity applies to small entrepreneurship, when the business owners work exclusively for themselves and mostly do without hiring additional employees.
