How I have spent the New Year as Father Frost
In many families it is accepted to arrange for children a holiday with sudden occurrence of Father Frost. And it is possible to find on the Internet without effort an agency which will send to your home professional actors. But 2020 has stood out "special", so without the inquiry on absence of virus diseases you will not let the animator you in your house. Therefore the decision to brighten up the New Year's leisure of my native nephews has come to me by itself.
Without having an experience of actor and especially practice of a role of the main New Year's wizard, I decided to try to act as Father Frost. I first began desperate searches of celebratory clothes for the white-beard aged man. New Year's markets offer a various choice of carnival suits, but I was lucky, my friends had a pantry the Father Frost dressing gown, beard and a red cap.
Having learnt plain celebratory verses, I rehearsed a congratulatory speech before the mirror. It was most difficult one to represent the voice of the respectable aged man, I worried that during the most solemn moment nephews would declassify me. The artificial, pricked beard became one more test - I gave due to actors whom, till some hours staying in the image of Father Frost, suffer this torture.
Having thrown through the shoulder a bag with gifts and having armed with a magic stick and good mood, I went as guest to children. Excited and joyful nephews did not recognise me. With surprise in their eyes they looked at the New Year's visitor. «Children, you know me?! », - without making a mid-air pause, I asked. The answer was affirmative: «Yes! You are the Grandfather the Frost! ». Having sighed with simplification, I entered my native home.
Then we together with children sang the New Year's songs, danced, read verses, danced round the decorated a fur-tree. I madly would like to admit that I am their native uncle. I did not understand - and how they did not know me? But it would be silly to break thus holiday atmosphere. Having presented nephews gifts, I started to say goodbye. They were so delighted with surprises that at all did not notice, how I left, as if having evaporated into the air.
Already having transformed into real myself, I understood that is unessential to be the actor or to apply for the help to animators, to arrange for children the real New Year's holiday.
Yes, to be Father Frost - not an easy trade, but after all each father can become for the family the real magician, create for children a kind fairy tale in which everything, irrespective of age, it would be desirable to trust.
