The President of Turkmenistan with his granddaughters visited the New Year’s Park around the Main New Year’s Tree of the country
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov today came with his granddaughters to the Main New Year’s tree installed in front of Alem Cultural and Entertainment Center.
This place in the south of Ashgabat traditionally becomes a large open area for creating a large-scale New Year’s installation. Fabulous decorations and many elegant smaller trees are installed around the largest New Year’s tree in the country, and in the evening all this sparkles with colorful illumination.
Here, the head of state and the young guests were met by Ayaz Baba and Garpamyk – Turkmen Santa Claus and Snow Maiden.
All together they walked through the New Year’s Park and around the Main New Year’s tree. The story about it was shown on Turkmen television.
In addition to the festive entourage and various art objects, there are also fair stores in the Park, where all sorts of souvenirs on the theme of the symbol of the coming year – the Bull – are offered.
Mr. Berdimuhamedov offered his granddaughters to choose souvenirs and bought them paying with a bank card.
As befits according to the New Year’s tradition, Ayaz Baba presented gifts to the girls, and they read poems in different languages.
