Asian Basketball Cup is to be held in Indonesia

The International Basketball Federation announced that Indonesia will host the Asian Basketball Championship in 2021, the second time in its history. - We are very proud that next year we will host the Asian Basketball Cup in Jakarta. This is a great opportunity for Indonesia to showcase its basketball potential, said Indonesian Basketball Federation President Danny Kosasih. In turn, FIBA Asia President Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al-Thani noted that the holding of the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 and the joint organization of the FIBA World Basketball Championship in 2023 is a huge step forward in development of basketball in the country. The FIBA Asia Cup 2021 teams will be divided into four groups, each having four teams.
