Scientists talk about the effect of ordinary water on the treatment of obesity

Drinking plain water can be an effective way to prevent and treat metabolic syndrome. An international group of scientists from the USA, Japan, Mexico and Turkey came to such conclusions. Their study demonstrates that water suppresses the hormone that causes obesity and diabetes. Scientists conducted an experiment on mice. The animals were fed sweet water with fructose, which stimulated the production of vasopressin, a hormone associated with obesity and diabetes. That, in turn, triggered reactions in which water was stored as fat. This led to animal dehydration and obesity. At the same time, when the mice drank unsweetened water, obesity was not only stopped, but also reduced. As a result, plain water suppressed the vasopressin receptor and prevented fat storage. The best way to block vasopressin is by drinking water. This is encouraging because there is a cheap and easy way to improve the lives of many people and cure metabolic syndrome,” said study leader Dr. Miguel Lanaspa. Scientists recommend increasing their water intake for anyone with signs of metabolic syndrome - high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and high triglyceride levels. According to them, the combination of these factors dramatically increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes, writes JCI Insight magazine.
