Turkmen chess players to perform at the Moscow Open-2019 international tournament


Masters of the Turkmen chess team will take part in the 15th Moscow Open-2019 International Tournament, which starts on January 24 in the Russian capital and runs until February 4.
Turkmenistan will be represented by multiple champions of the country, winners of many foreign tournaments, international masters and representatives of the chess dynasty of Maksat, Saparmyrat and Yusup Atabayev, Azat Nurmammedov. Servear Annaberdiev, Honored Coach of Turkmenistan, chief coach of the national team, will support his players.
A few years ago, Saparmurat Atabaev, winner of the World Championship among Schoolchildren of 2016, was already the winner at the Moscow Open. The rising chess star Azat Nurmammedov managed to become the Asian champion 2016 among juniors under 13, and in 2017 he won silver and bronze at the CHA among juniors under 18 in Tashkent.
Moscow Open is one of the largest chess festivals in the world in terms of the number of participants, where the strongest players from Russia, Azerbaijan, India and other countries come together. Also within the framework of the competition, seminars are organized for judges and international arbitrators in order to improve their qualifications.
As the head coach of the Turkmenistan national team, Serdar Annaberdiev, notes, the competition in Moscow will be good preparation for the team members for the Central Asian Championship, which will be held this May in Tashkent.
In February, the Turkmen national team plans to take part in the international chess festival in Iran - “The 17th Caspian Cup”.
