It is this feature of the current exhibition in the Gallery of the State Art Academy of Art that the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Annadurdy Almamedov noted in his opening speech:
- I am very pleased that the younger generation of artists, who presented their work at this exhibition, is inspired by a variety of images and ideas, drawing them from everyday life, raises both actual and eternal themes in their works, thinks about historical events and boldly looks to the future.
In 214 exhibition works, the entire multifaceted life of Turkmenistan for 2018 is reflected: the revitalization of archaeological and cultural works on the revival of the Great Silk Road, the strengthening of the industrial complex, the holding of major sporting events on a global scale - the Amul-Khazar 2018 rally and World Weightlifting Championship . Not paid attention to the students and every household subjects plots and abstract ideas.
The variety of techniques is also impressive: painting, acrylic, watercolor, bas-reliefs, tapestries, ceramics, carpet and jewelry, sculptures, installations and even architectural projects ...
“Especially for this exhibition, we have prepared catalogs dedicated to Turkmen artists,” says Aidzhan Kadyrova, head of the art history department of the State All-Union Art Exhibition. - In these works, we represent contemporary artists to us, because now they are of great interest. Within five years, today will become history, and our catalogs will help refresh it in memory and reveal the tendencies of ripening of one or another master.
The exhibition “Gudzhurly Yashlar” is an excellent platform for demonstrating both the technical skills of the students of GAKHT and their ability to implement ambitious creative projects. While studying at the academy, impatient first-year students rushing to have their say in art create personalities capable of discovering new horizons and trends in the country's art school, and the annual general public will know the names of future innovators at the annual review of the best works of students of the State Art Academy.
