Turkmen masters of the cue are among the ten best billiard players in the world


In recent years, Turkmen billiard players have managed to establish themselves as experienced and skillful players in international tournaments.
Representatives of the Turkmen billiards became the main sensation of the World Free Pyramid Championship, held in November 2018 in Tyumen (Russia). The bronze medalist of the Ashgabat 2017 Games, Batyr Geldiyev, confidently beat the current world champion Dmitry Belozerov of Ukraine and experienced player from Armenia Razmik Vardanyan. In the 1/8 final, he gave a serious rebuff to the world champion Russian Semen Zaitsev
Batyr Geldiev together with the Asian Games winner Annamamed Annamamedov entered the top ten players in the world championship in 2018, leaving behind strong rivals from 16 countries.
Turkmen Beganch Dzhumaklychev, who outplayed the master of sports, the bronze medalist of the 2017 World Cup Pavel Plotnikov with a score of 7: 3, became the author of another triumph.
The V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games of 2017 gave a powerful impetus to the development of this game in the country, representatives of the Billiard Sports Federation of Turkmenistan say. The home tournament Turkmen cue masters have won the two gold (Annamamed Annamamedov, Ibabekir Bekdurdyev), one silver (Kamaladdin Babayev) and four bronze medals (Annamamed Annamamedov, Ibabekir Bekdurdyev Batyr Geld, Begench Aidogdyev).
The National Federation, jointly with the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan, organizes both internal competitions and sends members of the national team to international tournaments. So, in April last year, Turkmen players participated in the World Championships in dynamic pyramid in Almaty, foreign championships in Georgia, Russia, etc.
The organization aims to attract the younger generation to billiards. In the metropolitan billiard club "Alemgoshar", which is the sports base of the federation, children can hone the technique with qualified coaches.
Kadyrberdi Chalyev, Ashir Ashirov, Suvkhan Sakhatov, Ahmet Sakhatov - promising young players, the future of Turkmen billiards.
Despite his young age, Kadyrberdi (born in 2003) has already managed to successfully perform at several tournaments abroad. For example, in October 2018, he participated in the international competitions in billiard sports "Little Prince" in Moscow, where he took the fifth place among representatives of 97 countries.
Honored coach of Turkmenistan, chairman of the Billiard Sports Federation of the country, Batyr Ashirov, expressed confidence that in the future in Turkmenistan this sport will reach unprecedented heights and the country will hear the names of new champions.
