Turkmen junior basketball players to perform at 2019 World Cup
The women's junior team of Turkmenistan (up to 23 years) in 3x3 basketball will compete for the 2019 World Cup, which will be held from 2 to 6 October in the Chinese city of Xian. This was announced by the official website of the Asian Basketball Federation. The competition for Turkmen basketball players will consist of women's teams from 20 countries of the world. Among them are Russian athletes who are the current champions, the national teams of the Republic of Belarus, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Japan, Uganda, Iran, Sri Lanka and others. China, Italy, Mongolia, the Netherlands, Romania, Russia and Ukraine will be represented at the World Cup by both men's and women's teams. The women's national team of Turkmenistan under 23 years old is ranked 29 out of 157 in the International Basketball Federation ranking 3x3. As previously reported by ORIENT, the adult team of Turkmen will perform at the 2019 World Cup, which will be held in Amsterdam from June 18 to 23.
