Rally-raid "Silk Road" has reached the Middle Kingdom
The Kazakh stage of the rally-raid "Silk Road" (Moscow-Xian) was completed. Now participants of the auto marathon overcome the Chinese part of the route. The length of the seventh stage - from the Kazakh Urdzhara to the Chinese Karamai - was 412 kilometers. Among the trucks, the crew of Dmitry Sotnikov from KamAZ-master is in the lead. The second is Sotnikov's team-mate Anton Shibalov, and the third is Martin Koloma from the Tatra team. In the standings of off-road cars following the results of seven stages Sebastian Loeb, representing "Peugeot" is in the lead. The second is his teammate CyrilDepra, and the third is the American Bryce Menzies from the X-Raid team. 90 crews from 35 countries are taking part in the "Silk Road" -2017, including 41 SUVs and 21 trucks, and over 20 Chinese championship cars will join in Urumqi. The route passes through Russia, Kazakhstan and China. Participants finish on July 22nd in the Chinese city of Xian, from where the Great Silk Road began in ancient times. The length of the 7th episode of the rally-marathon is 9 599 kilometers.
