Sculptor Saragt Babayev to present new works at a one-man exhibition

On December 30, the exhibition hall of the Union of Artists hosts a one-man exhibition of the famous Turkmen sculpture, People's Artist of Turkmenistan, Saragt Babayev. The exhibition will continue a series of events that familiarize Turkmen citizens with the works of leading masters of fine arts of the country. The exposition focuses on the result of many years research work by Saragt Babayev in history and ancient culture and practical realization of these knowledge to preserve and increase the cultural heritage of Turkmenistan. Turkmen sculptor of standing reputation will present more than 300 works on various subjects. Part of the works will be shown for the first time. This year, Saragt Babayev was awarded the title of Honoured Elder of the Nation. His sculpture works decorate the parks and streets of the Turkmen capital and regional centers. The fountain complex “Oguzkhan and Sonseven entered the Guinness Book of Records. Fountain complex “Oguzkhan and sons” in Ashgabat by creative team led by S.Babayev, is among the best works of the famous sculptor and included to the Guinness World Records Book as the one that unites the most number of fountains in public place. His next grand project is a monument to the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Mahtumkuli Fragi.Altyn ASHYROVA
