Turkmen Basketball Women’s National Team to participate at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2019
Turkmenistan Basketball 3x3 Women’s National Team of will participate at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2019 to be held in Amsterdam on June 18-23.
Prizewinners of the competition will receive the right to participate in the qualifying tournament for the Tokyo 2020Olympic Games.
At the last World Cup, Turkmen basketball players confidently beat teams from Malaysia and Indonesia, losing to more experienced rivals from the Czech Republic and Italy. Team captain Ayna Gokova was awarded the title of the top goal-scorer of the tournament.
At the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2019, the Turkmen national team will compete with the reigning champion team of Italy, as well as with the national teams of Russia, China, Japan, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, Indonesia, Czech Republic, Latvia, Iran, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Andorra and Mongolia.
