In February, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russian Federation, will host 1st Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games, where young athletes from Turkmenistan will also be participating. Once again, our country breaks the existing stereotypes about country sending representatives of winter sports to participate in such large youth sports forum, showing the whole world that ice hockey and figure skating can be developed in a hot Asian state. Last 20 years, Children of Asia International Sports Games have been held only in summer sports. The first Games were held in Yakutia in 1996. Since then, they have been held every four years. In 2016, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) supported this idea hold Winter Children of Asia Games in Sakhalin due to the benefits available on the island, including climate conditionsViktor KARDASHOV
