Turkmen athletes will perform in the international children's table tennis tournament

Young tennis players from Turkmenistan will perform at the XIX International Children's Table Tennis Tournament, which will be held from 4 to 9 December in the northern capital of Russia - St. Petersburg. Participation in the tournament, which is included in the calendar of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), will give players the opportunity to earn ITTF rating points, as well as qualify for participation in higher level competitions. Competitions, held with the support of the Table Tennis Federation of Russia, will gather about three hundred tennis players from Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, the Republic of Belarus, Iran, and various regions of Russia. At the start there will be boys and girls of two age categories - 2004-2006 year of birth, 2007 year of birth and younger. The team of Turkmen athletes included Ilyas Allanazarov, Vepa Meredov, Aylara Nurgeldiyeva, Guychgeldi Allanazarov, Alibek Jumanov and Islambek Roziev.
