Turkmenistan bypassed its neighbors in the region in the rating of happiness
The British political magazine The Spectator believes that in Turkmenistan there are happier people than in other countries of Central Asia. At least, this is evidenced by the rating of happiness, compiled by one of the oldest magazines in the UK, whose name translates as "Eyewitness." The whole list covers 155 countries.
The researchers of happiness took into account the following indicators for the countries: the share of GDP per capita, the level of state social security, the quality of medical services, the degree of corruption, etc. The concepts of independence of choice, philanthropy in society and pessimism in the views of the future were also taken into account.
According to the research, the most fortunate in the world are the residents of the Kingdom of Norway. By the way, this country has been leading the Human Development Index for many years. The following positions in the list are occupied by Iceland and Denmark. The most economically developed state - US - is on the 14th line.
Turkmenistan in this "happiness list" took 59th place and outranked its neighbors in the region - Kazakhstan - 60, Tajikistan - 96 and Kyrgyzstan - 98th place.
The list is closed by the countries with the population that is feeling less happy than everyone, Tanzania - 153, Burundi -154 and Central African Republic -155th place.
