Turkmenistan Karate Cup kicks off in Ashgabat

Today, the competitions for the Turkmenistan Cup in karate kumite and karate kata in Men’s and Women’s over 18 years old started in the capital. The winners of the Cup will be able to take part in the 2019 Kyokushin Karate World Championship, which to be held in Tokyo. More than 50 athletes from all regions of the country take part in national competitions. There are Rejep Akmuradov (60 kg), Maral Batyrova (60 kg), Joshgun Tachmedov (65 kg), Yazmuhammet Ashyrmuradov (70 kg), Resul Mergenov (80 kg), Eziz Ovulyakuliyev (+85 kg) and others are among them. The final of the championship and award ceremony will be held on November 22. The Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan will award medals and certificates to the winners.
