Over the past 7 years, global demand for polypropylene has increased by 50% - such data was announced at the industry conference "Polyethylene. Polypropylene 2017 "in Moscow. This is due to the fact that this polymer has not one field of application. If in one of the markets the demand for it falls, then on the other one it either rises or remains stable. Against the backdrop of rising energy prices, there is a marked improvement in the economic situation in the world. This contributes to the growth of consumption, and with it, the increase in prices for polypropylene, which is used in the manufacture of clothing, furniture, food film, packaging materials, disposable tableware, automotive filters, building materials, etc.Eziz OVEZOV
According to forecasts of specialists, the price of polypropylene will grow at a faster rate than average. The main buyers in the coming years will be India, the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, the CIS and the EU.
In the conditions of increasing demand for polymers, a major infrastructure project is implemented in Turkmenistan - a gas chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in the settlement of Kiyanly.
Based on market analysis, this facility is able to meet the growing world demand for polypropylene and do not face strong competition in the region, as the expansion of production in our country occurs simultaneously with an increase in the demand for polymers in the world market.
The Kiyanly complex worth $ 3.4 billion is planned to be commissioned in September next year. Under construction jointly with Japanese "TOYO Engineering", South Korean "LG International Corporation" and "Hyundai Engineering Corp. Ltd", the complex will be equipped with the latest technology. Its main advantage is the adaptability to deep purification of raw materials from impurities, due to which the final product will have a high quality, which is the main factor of success in the world polymer market.
