One of the largest companies in the field of information technology, the supplier of hardware and software HP (Hewlett-Packard) makes the issue of sustainable production a priority. For several years, the global manufacturer of image processing and printing products has been creating toner cartridges made of plastic recycled under the HP Planet Partners program. With partners, HP has raised over £ 3.3 billion in e-waste and supplies. So, to date, the company has produced more than 3 billion ink and toner cartridges using more than 218 million pounds of recycled material, including plastic bottles. As David McQuarrie, chief operating officer of the company, notes: “Anyone who decides to purchase office equipment must make sustainability an important criterion in decision making.” HP is positioning its technology as a tool to bring people together and improve lives. The company also committed to integrate sustainable practices into its operations by reducing the use of unnecessary materials.
