Kerimguly Berdimuhamedov is a winner of the Türkmeniň Altyn asyry contest


The Mejlis of Turkmenistan adopted a resolution according to which Kerimguly Berdimuhamedov was declared the winner of the Turkmenistan President’s Türkmeniň Altyn asyry award contest, the State News Agency TDH reports. “Taking into account the contribution to the enrichment of national art with new works, successful performances at festive events, as well as the petition of the commission on selection of the winners of contest, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan decided to declare Kerimguly Berdimuhamedov the winner of the President’s Türkmeniň Altyn asyry contest and award him gold chain and 3,500 (three thousand and five hundred) manats,” the TDH statement says. The grandchild of the Head of state Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has gained such recognition for his success in music. Kerim has been performing his compositions – songs, including those written on the verses of his grandfather, as well as instrumental compositions – for the general public many times. The listeners got another such opportunity during a gala concert in Ashgabat on occasion of the birthday of the President of Turkmenistan, celebrated on June 29.
