Indian athletes ready for Ashgabat 2017
The Athletics Federation of India has teamed 22 sportsmen for participation in 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat.
13 men and 9 women will compete at nine athletics disciplines.
The three-days Program on Indoor Athletics includes totally 13 track, field, combined and team tournaments such as long jump, triple jump and high jump, short, middle and long distance running and hurdles. The events are scheduled for 18-20 September 2017.
Men group will be represented by Amiya Kumar Mallik (60m), Amoj Jacob and Mohan Kumar Raja (400m), Ajay Kumar Saroj (1500m), Lakshmanan Govindan (3000m), Ankit Sharma and Samsheer Sullia Ebrahim (long jump), Arpinder Singh and Karthik Unnikrishnan (triple jump), Tajinderpal Singh Toor and Omprakash Singh Karhana (shot put), Abhishek Shetty (heptathlon), Chetan B (high jump).
Female part of team will be featured by Dutte Chand (60m), Anilda Thomas (400m), PU Chitra and Lily Das (1500m), Sanjivani Jadhav (3000m), Neena Varakil (long jump), Anamika Das (shot put) Sheena NV (triple jump), Purnima Hebram (heptathlon).
