On the Day of Workers of Culture and Arts and the Poetry of Makhtumkuli, in Ankara, the memory of the great poet was honored


Chief Advisor to the President of the Republic of Turkey Yalchin Topchu, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alparslan, representatives of the Turkish Foreign Ministry Ali Kaan Orbay and Aşkyn Çakmak, Deputy Secretary General of TURKSOY Bilal Çakıcı, diplomatic corps accredited in Ankara, parliamentarians, writers, members of the Turkmen-Turkish Friendship Society, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora in Turkey and students studying in Turkish universities, and mass media took part in a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to Makhtumkuli.
The monument is in the center of the Turkish capital, in the park “Turkmenistan”.
Having delivered speeches at the ceremony, the participants noted the importance of the works of Makhtumkuli for world literature. The creative heritage of the great poet has not yet been studied and fully understood, which is an additional incentive and reason for optimism for scientists around the world, who study and explore the Makhtumkuli phenomenon. There are many more discoveries ahead related to the magnificent poems of Fraghi.
