Microbiologists destroyed the coronavirus in seconds, and Amazon was called its spot

American scientists have found a way to completely destroy the coronavirus using far ultraviolet radiation. Specialists from the National Laboratory of Infectious Diseases at Boston University, led by microbiologist Anthony Griffiths, contaminated a material with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and then exposed it to ultraviolet radiation. If the ultraviolet dose was 5 mJ/cm2, then the spread of the virus decreased by 99% in six seconds, and after an increase in radiation to 22 mJ/cm2, the coronavirus was completely destroyed. Microbiologists believe that a 13 watt energy-saving lamp can completely clear a 15 square meter room of coronavirus. Specialists reminded that ultraviolet radiation has been used to kill viruses for almost 40 years, over which none of the pathogens could survive such exposure, but the radiation is dangerous to people, the Biospace portal reports. Meanwhile, eight deaths were recorded in Amazon’s divisions, after which it was called the coronavirus spot. According to CNBC, Amazon is receiving more questions and complaints. The company of Jeff Bezos, the richest man in the world, is accused of not ensuring the safety of its staff. Moreover, it is pointed out that in the Chinese Internet giants Alibaba and JD.com everything is in order with safety. To date, not a single death has been recorded in their warehouses, as well as in offices. However, experts question the statements of corporations from China about the absence of deaths, since their transparency policy raise doubts. It is noted that Amazon has hired several tens of thousands of new employees in recent months to service warehouses, creating jobs necessary for the American economy during the crisis. However, now some workers are afraid of going to work. The total number of coronavirus infected in the world has reached more than 9.4 million people with 482 thousand deaths and more than 4.7 million people recovered. The United States is in the first place in the number of cases (2 381 361), followed by Brazil (1 188 631), and Russia closes the top three.
