Google will start paying some media for "quality" news


The US company Google announced the work on a licensing program for content, in which the corporation will pay some media for the publication of "quality" news. The program will be launched in 2020. At the same time, it is still unknown what the amount of payments will be. To date, Google has already entered into agreements with several German, Australian and Brazilian publishers, including Spiegel, Solstice Media and Diarios Associados. The company noted that later this list will be expanded, writes RIA Novosti. We will start with publishers from several countries of the world, in the future there will be more of them, the corporation said. The company will also begin to pay for free access for users to paid media content. This will allow them to grow their audience over time.
