Fake as an engine of the modern news policy

The life of a modern person is full of both constantly updated technical devices that make his life easier, and an increasing flow of all kinds of information. And that is why today, as never before, it becomes important to have skills in navigating well in the avalanche-like stream of messages, events, news and sensations, and to be able to “separate the wheat from the chaff”. Just ten years ago it was impossible to imagine that false and invalid news would become a truly global phenomenon, and the new-fangled word “fake” would firmly enter the everyday life of each of us. Only as a fair example of “sensational” fake news, and nothing else, we can consider the message that appeared on the official website of the US Embassy in Turkmenistan on June 23, 2020, stating that Turkmen citizens with symptoms of diseases caused by a new type of coronavirus infection COVID- 19, are tested, and are forcibly (!) sent to quarantine for an indefinite term. Moreover, they have to “stay” in quarantine without any special amenities. Of course, there may be those who easily believe this message among those who live outside Turkmenistan. But it’s not the citizens of our country who know very well how things really are with the measures taken by the Government to prevent infectious diseases. By the way, briefings are regularly held in order to provide the diplomatic corps and foreign citizens with full information about these measures, which are, for some reason, never attended by the American party.
