The festival of Turkmen culture in Dashoguz: magic kushtdepdi and all palettes of arts
The week of culture traditionally held to Day of workers of culture and art of Turkmenistan, was solemnly opened today with festive performance on the area bearing the name of the national hero - Gorogly, in the city of Dashoguz.
Here all participants of the main festival of art in the country gathered, and each creative group presented "palette": singers, musicians and dancers acted in concert show, artists and masters of national crafts exposed their works in elegant small pavilions and under the open-air.
The essence of the large scale cultural action was underlined by the general dance «kushtdepdi», united actors and numerous spectators who with pleasure stamped with foot and were clapped in a step of accelerated melody. The tremendous power of ancient dancing, its swirling, mystical plasticity can be considered as that genetic matrix of national creativity in which the spirit and force of collectivism is put.
The first day of Week of Culture proceeded with exhibitions and concerts, meetings and a dialogue of colleagues, exchange of plans and ideas. Ahead are a number of events: variety genres and opera, poetry and cinema, painting and sculpture, museum business and library mission, publishing and research work - all it and many other things is designated for subjects of events of the Week. And its main purpose is not only preservation and cultural heritage popularisation, but search of forms and ways of modern development of national art as self-expression of national soul, as country advancements in the world of cultural variety.
