Museum dedication to figures of Turkmen culture: classics and innovators


Turkmenistan is preparing to widely celebrate the Day of Workers of Culture and Art. And museums of the country are among the first to congratulate the workers of the creative workshop, as well as to celebrate their professional holiday.
An exhibition of paintings dedicated to renowned personalities in the history of national art has opened at the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan. The works of the painters are retrospective gallery of portraits representing the whole prime of Turkmen culture.
The great poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fraghi is an honored “guest” of the cultural event. Like a revived prophet, a classic of Turkmen literature appeared before the audience, whose image was performed by Yagmur Gurbannazarov, the actor of the National Music and Drama Theater named after Makhtumkuli.
Following the Museum of Fine Arts, the State Museum of Turkmenistan hosted a festive exhibition “Culture – the spiritual wealth of the people”. The museum’s collection has many historical values that are the unique collections of arts and crafts, etc.
The exhibition includes photographs of famous theater and film actors, famous bakhshi, portraits of national poets and writers of the country, musical instruments invented by the innovator of Turkmen art, the first national artist, poet and singer Byashim Nurali.
