Pineapples in Turkmen plant growing - why not?

Such proposal was made by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to one of farmers - plant growers during his working trip to Dashoguz region.
The head of the state visited fields of one of grain growing farms in which the harvest of wheat is in full swing. Having had a talk with a tenant farmer, the Turkmen leader personally tested a combine harvest-er at work, sitting at its wheel.
Then the president visited a local hothouse economy where tomatoes, bell pepper, strawberry are grown. There is an idea on cultivation of bananas, and the president suggested thinking over pineapples.
Actually this exotic fruit - pineapple - as a heat-loving plant - is quite worthy considerations of Turkmen landowners.
