Tunisian Prime Minister announces victory over coronavirus in the country

Tunisia defeated the coronavirus and emerged from the crisis with minimal damage, announced the country's Prime Minister Ilyas al-Fahfah on the air of Attesia TV channel. He urged fellow citizens to be proud of this victory. He called the probability of the second wave of COVID-19 in Tunisia minimal. The Prime Minister recalled that from June 27 Tunisia will open borders. Tourists will be allowed into the country subject to a negative coronavirus test, passed no earlier than 72 hours before departure, the tourism office said. Upon arrival, they will measure the temperature, and before boarding, they will have to fill out a health questionnaire. According to the new rules, only buses and hotels that comply with Ready & Safe sanitary safety requirements are allowed to transport and receive tourists. Guided tours are only allowed for organized groups. In 2019, Tunisia was visited by 9.5 million foreigners, which is 13.6% more than a year earlier. On June 13, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis also announced the victory over the coronavirus in his country. Since June 15, Greece has opened borders and begins to receive tourists.
