Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan have created an infrastructure for growth of cargo transportation from China to Europe


Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan have created a modern transport infrastructure which will promote increase in transportation of cargoes from China to Europe as Interfax-Azerbaijan reports, referring to experts of Open-end Company «ADY Express» and Open-end Company «ADY Konteyner» - Joint-Stock Company branches «Azerbaijan railways».
«In recent years the essential part of cargoes from China to Europe has been transported by railways of Kazakhstan. The transport route from Central Asia and Afghanistan to Europe lies through Turkmenistan. Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan for the past several years have realized large infrastructural projects. The cargoes, which volume of transportation increases in the region, will be delivered by ferries and feeder ships through ports in Kuryk, Aktau and Turkmenbashi to the new Baku port, whence they will be shipped to Europe by the railway branch line Baku-Tbilisi-Kars», - as stated in the statement.
Interfax-Azerbaijan notes the value of a free economic zone of Alyat near Baku and the Baku international port for development of transport service in the region that will allow increasing a turnover of goods between Europe and Asia through territories of the Caucasus and Turkey.
The free economic zone of Alyat was created on May 22, 2020 by the decree of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
