ORIENT becomes a part of the project «Images of the War»
The project «Images of the War», collecting the unique photo chronicle of the Great Patriotic War, has united thousands of people from every corner of the globe. Descendants of heroes, workers of state institutions in which archives unique pictures are stored, volunteer associations which are engaged in searches of graves of front-line soldiers and many other things send military pictures which are then distributed into categories.
Thus, it is told wide audience about that terrible war. It is bitter, frightening, gloomy, but at the same time sparkling hope of the Victory and belief owing to the people who defended freedom.
The project is presented by the Russian Society of Military History (RSMH), the Russian State Documentary Film and Photo Archive (RSDFPA), ROSPHOTO, the Multimedia Art Museum of Moscow (MAMM), the Russian Cultural Foundation and the Victory Museum (Moscow).
News agency "Media Turkmen" and the site ORIENT also takes part in the project, giving photos from the archives. Any interested person can join the action to expand a visual history of the Great Patriotic War and more visually to illustrate for the future generations a heroic way to the Great Victory.
