The Ashgabat studio "Juma": uniting talents and connoisseurs of arts
Already for a lot of years in the studio "Juma" located in the Ashgabat «sculptural small town», regular musicales accompanied by art exhibitions have been held. The most different talents here have visited fine arts and music sphere, critics from different countries of the world, foreign diplomats accredited in Ashgabat and, of course, townspeople – connoisseurs of fine things. Whose only voices did not sound in this cosy hall with fine acoustics - from such recognised masters of singing as national actor of Turkmenistan Atageldy Garyagdyev to such rising stars as Azat Annamamedov.
And past Sunday the unusual opening day of the artist which considers himself self-employed here took place, as he learnt to draw without assistance, without having special art preparation. But, according to experts, he possesses obvious natural gift. This is the person with education in mathematics and university professor with a long-term experience, Doctor of Social Sciences Ovez Muhammedberdyev.
For his many colleagues and acquaintances it was a big unexpectedness to see him in an ampoule of the artist though his native and old friends know: to draw he began in his childhood, but never before did not dare to present the creativity to the general public. His first exhibition has opened only now, after recent seventy-year anniversary of the scientist and teacher.
But before spectators saw works of Ovez Muhammedberdyev, in the studio "Juma" a small concert of his friend, master of vocal and gold baritone of Turkmen opera music Atageldy Garyagdyev was held and as concertmaster, honoured artist of Turkmenistan Vladimir Mkrtumov acted.
Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Rakhmaninov's well-known works and also songs which have already become by variety classics on music of Babadzhanyan, Gadzhibekov, Pahmutova, Sviridov, Magomayev and, of course, Nury Halmamedov sounded. During the concert unique shots of newsreel where the great Turkmen composer speaks about the executor of the works of Atageldy Garyagdyev were shown.
Picturesque and graphic papers of Ovez Muhammedberdyev on which the most different dominate, but the sensual female images written with big warmth, as a matter of fact became concert continuation, some kind of illustrations to the sounded melodies, whose leitmotif - declarations of love, as in «Don Juan serenade » or arias of Onegin. Emotional, pathetic performance of such professionals as Garyagdyev and Mkrtumov could not leave indifferent anybody, therefore an ovation after each song have traditionally ended with enthusiastic exclamations to sing encore, as with pleasure has been executed by both musicians.
In the studio "Juma" hall numerous admirers, friends and colleagues of the singer, the pianist and the artist who did not hasten to disperse have gathered, having spent unforgettable minutes of live dialogue with these talented people.
