South Korea to present innovative water solutions in Central Asia
In the near future, Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) will hold a series of seminars in three countries of Central Asia aimed at presenting the advanced system of water resources use and Korean experience in this field. It was announced by Kim Gwang-keun, head of the Secretariat of the Cooperation Forum “Republic of Korea-Central Asia” in an interview with “24Khabar” TV channel.
Ten specialists from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan will take part in trainings, scheduled for mid-November.
K-water is the national leader in the construction and operation of water management facilities and industrial hydraulic waterworks, developing renewable energy sources. The corporation successfully undertakes 32 overseas projects in 21 countries of the world.
It was appointed as the governing body on the realization of the joint project for transferring of knowledge and know-how on smart water consumption to Central Asian countries based on information and communication technologies.
At the end of last week, the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Secretariat of the South Korea-CA Forum was held in Seoul, the headquarters of which was opened in July this year. During the meeting, officials of South Korean ministries and departments and representatives of the embassies of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan summed up the outcomes of secretariat’s activity and discussed the plans for the next year.
