The ports affairs director of Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) has informed that Iran and the United Arab Emirates have renewed sea trade. Ravanbakhsh Behzadian told that he added that sea trade between Iran and the United Arab Emirates stopped with the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic was renewed according to new supervising principles and reports in the field of public health services, as Mehr News informs. Representative of Customs Administration of Iran Rouhollah Latifi stated that the point of crossing of border with Turkey, in Bazargan, is again opened after more than three months of idle time because of the pandemic. He added that it is authorised to Iranian and Turkish trucks to pass through the frontier point under condition of observance of reports about health, co-ordinated between two sides, informs Tasnim News. Minister of Trade of Turkey Ruhsar Pekcan stated this week that Ankara will open again boundary gate of Gurbulak, known borders on the Iranian side as Bazargan, to promote growth of volumes of trade between two neighbours. The long-awaited measure was accepted shortly after presidents of Iran and Turkey discussed the issue on the opening of air and overland borders between two countries against the ease of the pandemic. The closing of borders between Iran and Turkey has led to decrease in volume of trade between them to 70 % in the first quarter of this year.
