Berdimuhamedov will assess the harvest progress and social development during trips to the country’s regions
President Berdimuhamedov at a Cabinet meeting via video link informed on working trips to regions of the country scheduled for June. The purpose of the trips is to get familiarized with the organization of the launched wheat harvest campaign, the social development level and the implementation progress of programs to improve the population’s wellbeing. Turkmenistan is also to hold many major events of socio-political significance in June, the head of state said. The President instructed the Deputy Prime Ministers to analyze the reviewed today results of the past five months of the current year, and organize the activities in supervised sectors based on these outcomes and the short term assignments. Berdimuhamedov also announced a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on July 3 on the outcomes of the first half year, which will give an objective assessment of sectoral development and performance of leaders.
