President of Turkmenistan instructs to prepare anti-crisis program
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a video conference session of the government on the review of outcomes for 5 months of the year gave instructions to the bloc of the Cabinet of Ministers that in charge with economic issues to develop a Program for 2020-2021. The Program would be aimed to recover the country’s economy from the current state, as well as to ensure achieving of pre-crisis macroeconomic indicators. According to the head of state, such program is necessary amid the negative processes that the global economy faces and that affect the economic indicators of Turkmenistan. Berdimuhamedov required in the new program to provide for investments in economic sectors and export support. Investments in healthcare and social welfare should remain priority, Berdimuhamedov said.
