Turkmen archers improve their sports experience in Bangladesh


The archery training program for athletes from Asian countries started today at the Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master Stadium in Tongi, Bagladesh.
The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the chief of the National Federation of Archery Vepa Sahedov participate in the training session as well.
In total, 35 athletes and 11 trainers from ten countries, including Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, Tajikistan, Nepal, India, Pakistan, UAE, take part in the five-day program.
The training camp, which is organized under the auspices of the World Archery Asia organization (WAA), is led by experienced coach from Germany Martin Frederick, who holds the post of head coach of the Bangladesh team.
“This joint training initiative is one of WAA's development programs as we are interested in developing Asian archers, so that they can compete at international levels well after honing their skills from such training,” said WAA General Secretary Um Sung Ho at a press briefing on the eve of event inauguration.
