The new university will train multi-skilled engineers
The targeted training of the specialists of the communal sector began in Turkmenistan. On the 1st September the Institute of Communal Services was officially opened in Ashgabat. The students of the first enrollment began to study in 12 directions. The first honorary guest of the new university was President Berdymukhamedov.
A complex of buildings and facilities was built for the institute in Abadan, which in 2013 became part of Ashgabat, forming a new district of the capital. Now modern urban infrastructure is actively developing here, so it is logical to place an educational center for training of certified specialists and managers of the communal sector, so to speak, in the place of manufacture.
The creation of a new university includes in the concept of social and economic development of the country, the key factor of which is the improvement of living standards and conditions of the population. The city-planning program in the capital, as in other regions of the country, is supervised personally by the President, inspecting all the largest and most important new constructions.
And more than once, while reprimanding officials for various kinds of "shortcomings" and "oversights," the Head of State said that the communal municipal sector need competent, energetic, initiative people, expressing hope for young cadres.
The status of the project is obvious in equipment the Institute of Communal Services, whose buildings are located on the territory of 25 hectares. There are 17 departments in five faculties. A practical part of the educational process will take place in more than four dozen testing and research laboratories, where specialized equipment, various electronics, measuring, analytical and optical instruments, hardware systems with software from world famous manufacturers is installed.
It is the core, a real training ground for acquiring professional skills and working out all the regular and abnormal situations that can arise in the area of responsibility of communal services.
And just as pilot pilots are tested on flight simulators, these training devices simulate the functionality of all kinds of mechanical and technological means, tools, engineering systems and communications, it is possible to check the professional suitability of the working specialists of communal services. Not only future engineers need to know how the city infrastructure is organized, top-managers and development-managers are also important to understand and imagine how this complex and gigantic organism works.
The specialties to be trained in the new university include professionals in the areas of: examination and property administration, construction, operation and repair of roads, bridges and tunnels. There are also other directions - design of the architectural environment, organizational and technological design, management, production of building materials, technosphere safety, information systems and technologies, etc.
The residence dormitories for students with excellent sports block with halls for competitions and training are built near the university. Residential houses are erected for the teachers and lecturers.
