An international industry exhibition fair opened in Ashgabat

An international exhibition-fair dedicated to the development of the carpet and textile industries, as well as the sphere of trade was held at the expocenter of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The exposition was attended by scientists and experts in the field of carpet weaving, well-known carpet manufacturers, businessmen, leaders and representatives of large trading companies, the World Association of Turkmen Hand Carpet Weavers, and cultural centers that presented their works and products. Also, as part of the event, a graduation ceremony was held for carpet makers who made a great contribution to the development of this industry in the country. The traditional carpet products: bags, wallets, chordjuns, etc., attracted much attention of visitors. Entrepreneur Kumush Tajibaeva shared the secrets of carpet weaving, told how natural paints for dyeing wool are obtained from plants. Looking at the beautiful handmade carpets, one cannot but admire the originality of the patterns and the clarity of their lines. Woolen and silk carpets, each of which is a real work of art, amaze with the magical harmony of colors. - The exhibition is impressive in its scale, especially the exposition with innovative products of the Turkmen industry. National decorations and carpets deserve special attention - these are traditions without which it is impossible to imagine modern Turkmenistan,” says a resident of the capital Maral. At the exhibition venues, domestic entrepreneurs, government departments and organizations, private companies presented textile, food products, leather products and shoes, souvenir products, etc. Visitors to the exhibition were attracted by a resident of the Baharly etrap Ogulnar, working on a wooden loom.. - We have been doing this craft for many years. My mother, grandmother and great-grandmother weaved keteni and I continue this business. Keteni has been producing for more than one hundred years, and today, as always, it remains very popular, and the fabric itself will never go out of fashion,” she says. During the exhibition, a show of stylish clothes from the Ashgabat House of Models was held. The current collection of outfits has become a true work of art, the embodiment of the harmony of fashion cut with the traditions of the national costume. Defile of girls in amazing outfits made of chiffon, taffeta, velvet and keteni of domestic production aroused sincere admiration from the audience.
