Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to hold a parade in Moscow in honor of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War on June 24th, RIA Novosti reported. The head of state instructed to begin preparations for the event. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was charged with ensuring the most stringent security regime and minimizing all risks. Putin also proposed that the Immortal Regiment march take place on July 26th, the day of the Russian Navy. This year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, all mass events scheduled for May 9th, were postponed to a later date. Against the backdrop of the pandemic, when the regime of self-isolation was introduced in most countries of the world, Turkmenistan, where cases of coronavirus were not recorded, became one of the centers for celebrating Victory Day in the world. For the first time, a military parade was held in Ashgabat in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory, and "Immortal Regiment" campaign was held at the official level. A delegation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation led by Deputy Minister of Defense, Colonel General Alexander Fomin took part in the celebrations in honor of Victory Day in Turkmenistan.
