5G bus route was launched in China

A pilot bus route with a 5G signal started on Wednesday in the south of China, the city of Guangzhou (the administrative center of Guangdong Province), Silkroadnews reports. Bus route B27, where a total of 22 electric buses operate, is 17.4 km long and connects Tianhe District to Huangpu District. Vehicles are equipped with 5G coverage and passenger throughput monitoring equipment, intelligent dispatching devices and auxiliary equipment to ensure driving safety. The pilot bus line is part of the Guangzhou Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. In total, fifty 5G base stations were established on BRT routes. China is introducing a 5G network to meet public demand in the fields of transport, entertainment and healthcare.
