Turkmenistan attracts Russian investments to its chemical industry

Capital repairs and modernization of manufacture of "Maryazot" Association of “Turkmenkhimiya” State Concern is planned to be carried out at the expense of attraction of Russian investments. The designed capacity of the enterprise is estimated 450 thousand tons of ammonium nitrate a year. However, replacement of out-of-date process equipment and manufacture modernization is necessary for full use of its designed capacity. On development of a joint investment project in this area the sides agreed in May, 2019, at the session of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission for Economic Cooperation, which was held in Ashgabat. Experts of the Russian companies visited at "Maryazot" enterprise and made an estimation of the state of industrial objects, having proposed to carry out its reconstruction and re-equipment that will allow to raise volumes and assortment of production manufactured there. For January-April, 2020 in Turkmenistan more than 641 thousand tons of nitric fertilizers that almost by 59 % exceeds the volume of 2019 for the same period, were produced. In total this year the sector is commissioned to manufacture 1 million 755 thousand tons of nitric fertilizers.
